Mr. James R. (Red) Odom, age 83 of Stockbridge, died Monday, August 8, 2011. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty J. Odom. He is survived by his wife, Lorene B. (Granny) Odom; children, Becky Odom Martin and husband, Rick, Marietta, Keith Odom and wife, Denise, Lanny Odom and wife, Sandy, all of McDonough, J.R. Odom, Jr. and wife, Debbie, Conyers; step-son, Tommy Turner and wife, Kathy, Stockbridge; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Mr. Odom was a member of Lorraine Assembly of God and retired from General Motors. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Lorraine Assembly of God with Pastor Joe Kerbow and Pastor David Clarke officiating; interment will follow at the church cemetery.
