Recently we saw a mailer sent out by one of our local candidates for state senator. The mailer was slickly done and we are sure it cost the candidate a pretty penny.

The whole piece dealt with illegal immigration, and it contained very true statements, but we don’t think, at this time, that’s the issue that is concerning the voters of the area. In the immortal words of former President Bill Clinton, "It’s the economy, stupid."
