Honor Flight veterans take off for D.C.
photo1

The fourth group of World War II veterans and their guardians took off early Tuesday morning for Honor Flight Conyers. Today's trip for the veterans was funded by $10,000 in personal contributions from National EMS employees.

Here are a few scenes from their trip. Check back for more pictures throughout the day.

Honor Flight Conyers provides day-trips to WWII veterans throughout Georgia free of charge to visit monuments and memorials such as the WWII Memorial and Arlington National Cemetery. Guardians who accompany each veteran must pay their own way. Trips depart from the American Legion Post 77 hall and then Hartsfield-International Airport.
