A home owner was injured and intruder shot during an early morning home invasion in Rockdale on Wednesday.

During the incident, the intruder was shot and one of the residents injured. The intruder was taken to an Atlanta area hospital. The injured resident was taken to the hospital as well but the injury was reportedly not considered life threatening.
