Newton girls' tennis lost its third straight match, falling 4-1 at Rockdale Monday.

The Rams' three-game skid comes on the heels of a three-game winning streak.

Newton defeated Luella 3-2 on March 13, Stephenson 5-0 on March 14 and M.L. King 5-0 on March 15. Newton then lost to East Coweta 3-2 on March 21 and Westlake, 5-0, on Thursday before meeting Rockdale.

The boys teams did not play an official match.

The Lady Bulldogs have now won three straight, beating Cedar Shoals 5-0 on March 20 and Salem 5-0 on Thursday.

Rockdale hosted Eastside Tuesday night. The match finished after press time.
