Looking for some summer fun that won’t cost a bundle?

Georgia Piedmont Technical College in Covington will hold its Family Fun and Food Fest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 22.

The free event will offer face painting and storytelling, snow cones, balloon animals, inflatable funhouses, soft tennis courts, tractor rides, games, and music and entertainment.

Free on-site services will include vital-signs checks, blood-pressure and blood-sugar checks, cholesterol checks, child safety seat checks, basic vehicle service tips, and child ID kits.

On-site demonstrations will be offered by Police K9 Services, EMS, Police Explorers, GBI Internet Safety, and more.
Of course, a festival isn’t a festival without food.

Barbecue plates will be available for $8, and will include a barbecue sandwich, chips, coleslaw and a drink.
Pizza will cost $1 per slice.

Georgia Piedmont Technical College is at 8100 Bob Williams Parkway in Covington.
