UPDATE: The exit was cleared and reopened by 9:30 p.m. The tractor trailer was leaking flammable resin. "It appeared that the load in the truck had shifted and ruptured a 55 gallon drum containing the resin," said a county spokesperson. About 40 gallons had leaked before  Rockdale Fire and Rescue was able to plug the leak.

IN BRIEF: A gas leak reportedly closed the I-20 eastbound exit ramp to Sigman Road in Rockdale County. Drivers are advised to find alternate routes or use the access roads.

A tractor trailer reportedly had flammable liquid leaking from the vehicle's load and pulled off I-20 and onto the exit ramps for Sigman Road around 4 p.m.

First responders, include HERO units and Rockdale Fire and Rescue units and Rockdale County Sheriff's Office units, are on the scene and are waiting for HAZMAT teams to arrive.

RCSO units are blocking traffic from the ramp until the area can be cleaned.
