ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say an Atlanta woman has come forward to claim a $250,000 prize she won in last month's record-jackpot Mega Millions drawing.
CBS Atlanta reports (http://bit.ly/Hm5Y5a) that Tarenthia Geer matched the first five numbers in the March 30 drawing and claimed her prize Monday at Georgia Lottery headquarters.
Georgia Lottery officials say she's 1 of 6 Georgia players who won $250,000 payouts in the historic drawing. The six winning Georgia tickets were purchased in Athens, Atlanta, Ellabell, Hendersonville, Marietta and Waco.
Another 48 Georgians won $10,000 prizes for matching 4 of the five white balls plus the Mega Ball.
Three grand-prize winning tickets were sold in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland, giving their owners a share of the largest lottery jackpot in history.
