Playoff positioning was on the line this Friday night for some and others just wanted to end their season on a good note.

Newton versus Rockdale was a classic rivalry matchup. The Rams pulled it out 29-26, after a 95-yard game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter. The Rams secure the No. 3 seed in the region, locking Rockdale in as the No. 4 seed.

Eastside gave Griffin fits early in their region championship, as the Eagles led 14-0 in the first. Eastside trailed 28-21 at halftime. Griffin went on to finish the half with 20 more points as the Eagles managed just one more score losing 48-28.

It was win or go home for Salem, and the Seminoles took care of business winning 35-14 over Cedar Shoals making Salem the No. 3 seed in the region.

After already being eliminated from the playoffs, Heritage fell 43-26 to a tough Winder-Barrow team.
