Free Income Tax Filing Assistance is available through the AARP Tax-Aide volunteers on Tuesday and Thursday of each week beginning February 1 and ending on April 14 between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta, 1015 O'Kelly Street, (behind the Conyers Post Office).

Free Electronic Filing is available. Filers must bring all necessary documents to support filing their return including Social Security Cards, picture ID, W2 Forms, any 1099 forms for pensions, interest income, etc., and a copy of their 2009 Income Tax Returns. No appoints are taken. Clients are served on a first come/first served basis only.

This year there is no longer a Georgia refundable low income credit, previously $26. Also, due to late passage of tax law by Congress, we cannot file Schedule A, itemized deductions until approximately Feb. 24.
The AARP Tax-Aide assistance program is targeted to low and moderate income individuals with preference given to those age 60 and over.
