Most Rockdale schools are reporting absentee rates due to flu-like illness in the single digits, with a few at 6 – 8 percent and one school, Honey Creek Elementary, at 10 percent as of Sept. 11, according to RCPS spokesperson Cindy Ball. Once a school reaches 10 percent absentee rates, "we ramp up what we’re doing" in terms of prevention and preparedness efforts, said Ball. The September Superintendent's Community Forum has also been postponed in order to practice social distancing.
