The Rockdale County Fire Department has been working on a 1951 fire truck for months and are getting out in the community for help with the final repair efforts.

Rockdale County Firefighters will be at the Walmart in Conyers from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. cooking out hot dogs and hamburgers while raising funds for the restored fire truck.

Along with hot dogs and hamburgers, there will also be medalions available for purchased that was enscribed with the restored truck by the RCFD's metal shop.

Santa Claus, who will also be in town for the Christmas Parade along with the restored fire truck, will stop by Walmart at 1:30 p.m. to show his support.
