More than 150 runners, walkers and supporters gathered on a bright sunny morning Saturday at Rockdale Career Academy for the second annual Fast Forward 5k and 1 mile Fun Run.

The first male over the finish line for the 5K, with a time of 14:40, was Heritage sophomore Malik McCrary.

The first female over the 5K finish line was 10-year-old Abby Wilcox, with a time of 18:31.

Proceeds from the race help fund RCA activities and scholarships to help students attend conferences and competitions.
