Fabulous Fourth to bring fun, fireworks to Conyers
Conyers-fireworks-
There's no need to drive far for exciting fireworks and family-friendly fun on Independence Day. Conyers will celebrate community and freedom with entertainment and fireworks at the Georgia International Horse Park with the Fabulous Fourth Festival on Sunday, July 4.

Now in its seventh year, the Fabulous Fourth Festival will celebrate our nation's independence with plenty of family fun available throughout the evening.

The event features arts, crafts, vendors, and live performances on stage, such as Lil Jimmy and DJ Pozitivity and The Mike Rogers Band. A patriotic program honoring Gold Star Mothers and Wives will also take place on the stage at 7:00 p.m. with guest speaker William T. Nesbitt, Adjutant General, Georgia National Guard. Anyone who has lost a loved one during war is invited to be a part of the program and be recognized.

Festival-goers won't want to miss the action-packed Ultimate Air Dog Show as high flying canines compete at long distance jumps throughout the evening, courtesy of Ingles and The Rockdale/Newton Citizen. Guests can choose their favorite custom Corvette or Japanese car at the Corvettes in the Park Car Show and Nostalgic Japanese Street Fighters Car Show.

The Fabulous Fourth also offers children's activities with attractions such as a moonwalk, radar speed pitch, and free patriotic crafts provided by Stone Mountain Ministries. Children can design their own patriotic brick at the Walk of Heroes booth in support of the Georgia Veterans Memorial Park, while kids of all ages can ride on the miniature outdoor railroad provided by the North Georgia Live Steamers. Barney Fife and Gomer Pyle will make an appearance as the entertainment group Memories of Mayberry join the festivities. The event concludes with the main attraction: fireworks, at dark.

Large crowds are expected and guests are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy all the festivities and avoid traffic and parking issues.

Admission into the event and parking are free. Blankets and lawn chairs are allowed for prime fireworks-viewing. Coolers and pets are prohibited.
