The Rotary Club of Rockdale and the Rotary Club of Conyers, along with the Interact Clubs of Salem and Rockdale and the Girl Scout Troop 544, came together Dec. 8 to support the yearly Empty Stocking Fund event, purchasing toys and supplies for families, organized by Rockdale Emergency Relief. This year, 89 families (more than 200 students) will be able to provide Christmas presents to their children because of generous donations from the community. Almost $10,000 was spent at Target in Conyers to provide toys and clothing for families in need.
