The county will swear in local officials elected in the November general election in a ceremony on Tuesday, 5:30 p.m.

The ceremony will be held at the JP Carr Community center, at 981 Taylor Street, prior to the Board of Commissioners work session at 6:30 p.m.

Commissioners JaNice Van Ness, Superior Court Judge David Irwin, and District Attorney Richard Read will be sworn in.

The public is invited to attend.
