Miki Edwards currently interim chief executive officer (CEO) of Rockdale Career Academy, was appointed as the permanent CEO of Rockdale Career Academy by the Rockdale County Board of Education on Thursday night.

Edwards, a former vice principal at the school, took up the role after former CEO Tim Melvin resigned in March after an investigation into his conduct with subordinates.

The board also endorsed the Superintendent's transfer of Michael Mauriello, currently principal at Open Campus, to principal of Davis Middle School.
