Sophomore Beta Club members Jacob Weinstein, Will Foster and Reynolds Rogers from George Walton Academy spent part of their spring break collecting and assembling Easter baskets and children's clothing items they delivered to Rockdale Coalition for Children and Families on Thursday.

Weinstein said other Beta Club efforts include Study Buddies, a tutoring program for younger children; Christmas stockings for homeless shelters in Atlanta, and they made scarves for Special Olympics athletes. Beta Club is an academic honors club focused on community service.

Rockdale Coalition for Children and Families Director Michael Hutcheson said the items will go to children in the Family Promise and Phoenix Pass programs.
