Rubber ducky, you’re the one: Volunteers scoop rubber duckies out of Honey Creek during previous years’ Rubber Ducky races.
On Thursday, June 25 at 9:30 a.m. 1,200 rubber duckies will take over Honey Creek at the Elks Aidmore Children's Center for the fifth annual Rubber Ducky Race fundraiser.
The first lucky ducky to cross the finish line will be the grand prize winner. The grand prize is a one week vacation at a resort in Orlando, Fla., and tickets to Walt Disney World.

There will be 14 first place prize winners. First prizes include a flat screen TV, weekends in a North Georgia Mountain cabin, a GPS system, golf packages, a digital telephone system, local merchant gift certificates and many other fantastic prizes.

Tickets are still available. The cost of the tickets are $10 for one duck or $25 for 3 ducks. They can be purchased at the Olivia Haydel Senior Center on Dogwood Drive, the Rockdale County Human Resources Office on Milstead Avenue or at the Rockdale County Administrative Offices located at 958 Milstead Avenue in Olde Town Conyers.

Proceeds from this event will be used to support the Rockdale County meals-on-wheels and congregate meal programs, the Senior Health and Wellness program and the Kinship Care and transportation programs.
