Two Rockdale County Sheriff's Office deputies pulled a driver from a wrecked vehicle that had caught on fire on Interstate 20 Monday morning.

Around 5:55 a.m., Tasmine Hicks, 38, of Social Circle was traveling west on I-20 near Sigman Road in a Chevy pickup truck when the tread came off the rear left tire of the vehicle, according to a Georgia State Patrol spokesperson.

She then oversteered, causing her vehicle to run off the road, flip over and catch fire.

Two RCSO deputies, Cpl. David Kain and Deputy Jeff Peek, responded to the scene and were able to pull her out of the vehicle, which was ablaze.

She was transported to Atlanta Medical Center with minor injuries.
