Deputies look for suspect that robbed restaurant at gunpoint

The Rockdale County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a suspect that robbed a Chinese food restaurant at gunpoint.

On Monday, Sept. 21, at approximately 9:45 p.m., a heavy-set black male entered the China Star Restaurant, at 2870 Hwy 212, Suite C, in the Publix shopping center at the corner of Hwy. 138 and Hwy. 212.

The suspect brandished a handgun and held an employee at gunpoint as he emptied the register of an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is believed to be a black male approximately 17 to 21 years of age and weighing approximately 185 to 200 pounds. He has a short, well kept haircut and no facial hair.
