Mr. Dean Ray, 49, of Blue Ridge and formerly of Conyers, died Sunday, May 12.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Ray. He is survived by his wife, Kelley Ray, Blue Ridge; mother, Betty Ray; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Theresa Ray; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Harry Powers, all of Conyers; several nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Deana.
As a child, Mr. Ray enjoyed growing up on the farm and riding the tractor with his "Poppy." He loved getting together with his brother and sister and cousins and being outdoors. He had a kind spirit and a contagious smile and a willingness to help those around him. He never met a stranger wherever he went. Mr. Ray was owner of Ace Septic Tank Cleaning Services for over 30 years.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 19, at 3 p.m. at Smyrna Presbyterian Church, 2920 Highway 212 SW, Conyers, GA 30094. Visitation with the family will be from 1:30-2:45 p.m. in the church parlor prior to the memorial service. A church nursery will be provided for the visitation and the memorial service.
