A Conyers man pulled over originally for having window tinting that was too dark was found with five bags of marijuana during his arrest on a wanted persons warrant.

According to reports, 34-year-old Corey Lamont Simmons was driving a silver Pontiac Grand Prix east on Iris Drive on Thursday, Nov. 3, around 6:30 p.m.

A Rockdale County Sheriff's deputy pulled over the vehicle, which appeared to have glazing on all four side windows, at the entrance to Iris Glen Apartments. Simmons said he had just bought the vehicle and did not know the percentage of the tint.

After giving the deputy his license, Simmons came up as a wanted person out of Rockdale County. According to reports, the deputy then ran a window tint test on the vehicle which came back at 13 percent.

When another deputy arrived, Simmons was placed under arrest. Deputies found five baggies of marijuana, totaling 71.5 grams, on his person during a search.

Simmons was charged with purchase/possession/manufacture/distribution or sale of marijuana and affixing materials that reduce or increase light transmission/reflectance of windows/windshield.
