A crash Saturday night with a Rockdale County Sheriff's Office patrol car left a truck overturned but no serious injuries reported.

The crash occured around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Honey Creek Road and Ga. Highway 20.

According to a Georgia State Patrol spokesperson, the driver of the pickup truck was traveling north on Ga. Highway 20 and making a left onto Honey Creek Road.

A RCSO patrol car was traveling south on Ga. Highway 20 responding to a non-emergency call, without lights or sirens.

Both vehicles entered the intersection on the green light, but the truck, driven by Benjamin  Sims, 36, of Conyers, failed to yield during his left turn.

The truck was T-boned, causing it to overturn onto its driver's side.

Sims reportedly did not have serious injuries and refused sobriety tests and a breath test.

Durham was transported to Newton Medical Center for minor injuries and released.

Sims was charged with DUI and failure to yield while turning left.

Georgia State Patrol Troopers are handling the investigation of the incident.
