IN BRIEF: A single vehcile accident closed Flat Shoals Road for a short time Wednesday morning near the Almand Creek subdivision. Around 10 a.m., a white Nissan Altima was reportedly driving at a high rate of speed and lost control, flipping over several times before ending up on its roof. The driver was helped out by a passer-by. The driver reported pain on the right side of their body and was transported to Atlanta Medical Center. Flat Shoals Road reopened around 10:30 a.m.
