Rockdale County announced Stacy Sutton, Administrative Manager of Fleet Services, as the county's Employee of the Year for 2010.
Sutton was recognized by the Board of Commissoners at their Tuesday meeting.
She was selected out of five finalists as the individual who best exemplified exceptional customer service, outstanding initiative and operational effectiveness during the 2010 calendar year.
The other finalists were: Shawn Bell, Senior Services; Kim Hays, MIS; Cindee Sweda, Cooperative Extension; and Ronnie Wright, Office of the Tax Assessor
In her nomination application, her supervisor Sue Roberts wrote: "Stacy provided more to the County than just what was in her job description. She handled every process related to Fleet Services - providing over $600,000 in services to other departments throughout the year, including work orders, service calls, gas services, invoices, safety services, etc. Stacy came in during storms to check fuel levels, and coordinated the supply of fuel and services for all of the County’s emergency services. And she has been 10 0percent reliable in doing so!
Besides all that, Stacy has taken on other functions for the department such as assisting the Recycling Center, Park Maintenance and Building Maintenance. She takes everything in stride and is just happy to be at work every day. Stacy has a superb attitude and is a joy to work with."
