Good customer service is getting harder and harder to find nowadays, but one Conyers business was recognized for doing things the old fashioned way — treating its customers well and paying attention to their needs.

AAMCO of Conyers received the Superlative Customer Relations Achievements award for the second year in a row at the company’s May 2013 region conference meeting.

Only eight customer service awards were given out of more than 800 stores nationwide, and the Conyers store was the only one in the southeast region to be recognized.

For an AAMCO to be considered for the award, the store must not have any complaints on its record from the previous work year.

The AAMCO in Conyers opened two decades ago and has been under Abercrombie’s ownership for more than three years.

“It was very satisfying. I felt satisfied for the customers and the staff,” said owner Bobby Abercrombie.

“You have to put the customers first. Your primary goal has to be making the customer happy otherwise it just doesn't work.”

He continued, “And you have to have qualified techs who stay on top of the ever changing auto repair industry. You’ve got to have quality technicians.”

The Conyers shop is located at 1662 Ga. Highway 138 North  and can be reached at 770-388-7000.
