ATLANTA – Powerball is reaching record heights in Georgia. Saturday’s jackpot has soared to $310 million, the largest Powerball jackpot since Georgia began selling game tickets in 2010.

The jackpot’s $193 million cash option is the highest in Powerball history.

Georgia Lottery players cashed in big in Wednesday’s drawing.

Lars Ljungdahl of Savannah won $1 million. One Conyers player selected the Power Play option, increasing a $10,000 prize to $40,000. And four players in Atlanta, Conyers, Decatur and LaGrange each won $10,000.

The Powerball jackpot has been growing since Dec. 28 and has rolled 13 times.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play.

Proceeds from Powerball help fund the HOPE Scholarships and Pre-K programs in the state of Georgia.
