One man is in jail and three others are being sought after a 21-year-old man succumbed to injuries he allegedly sustained from a beating July 26.

According to Newton County Sheriffs Office Lt. Tyrone Oliver, 23-year-old Roland Lebron Wilson Jr. of Conyers is being charged with murder, aggravated battery and aggravated assault, he reportedly turned himself in Saturday afternoon – the day the victim died.

Wilson is being accused of going to 21-year-old William Okafor’s home, along with three other young men, knocking on the door and luring Okafor outside of the home. Oliver said that Okafor’s parents allegedly heard arguing on the side of the house and a relative of the victim reportedly told investigators that they witnessed Wilson striking Okafor in the head with a brick.

Okafor was transported to an area hospital where he died Aug. 1 from injuries sustained in the fight.

Investigators are still looking for the other three males that were allegedly at the home with Wilson on July 26, and are asking that anyone with information contact the NCSO at (678) 625-1400 on online at www.sheriff.co.newton.ga.us. All tips can remain anonymous.
