Bring your tastebuds - and your elastic pants - to 1400 Parker Road as 14 Atlanta food trucks roll into town for the first ever Conyers Food Truck Festival on Saturday, March 29, noon-6 p.m.

Participating food trucks include Yumbii, Smileys, On Tapa the World, Tex’s Tacos, Pressed for Time Paninis, A Moveable Feast, Little Johnny's Italian Ices, King of Pops, Ibiza Bites, Sonny's BBQ, The Fry Guy, Bento Bus, Yum Yum Cupcakes plus coffee from Awake and margaritas from Las Flores.

“The hottest food trend in Atlanta and the surrounding areas remains the street food movement and we wanted to celebrate the success of these entrepreneurs by showcasing their cuisine in one fun-filled day,” said organizers Alisha Nesbitt and Cheryl Hasting, who also organize the Atlanta Street Food Festival held in July at Piedmont Park for the past three years. Nesbitt, a Conyers resident, said she wanted to bring more family-friendly events to Rockdale.

Tickets to enter the area are $10.50 per adult, or $25 for four adults. Food cannot be purchased from the trucks without entry wristbands. Kids 12 and younger are free. The wristbands give a discount of $1 after $6 purchased per truck.

There will also be live entertainment from bands and artists brought to the festival by Lethal Rhythms Entertainment, including folk artists Reina del Cid.

Pets are not allowed. Portable chairs are welcome.
