The city of Conyers will hold an informational meeting on Tuesday, May 28 to address concerns and answer questions from the public about the city’s Mixed-use Development (MxD) zoning district.

Conyers officials and representatives from the city’s Department of Planning and Inspections will host a public information meeting on Tuesday, May 28 from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, second floor of the Conyers Police Department at 1194 Scott Street.

The purpose of the meeting is to better inform the public about how land use, architecture, sustainability and development patterns are taken into consideration for long-term growth in creating zoning districts such as the MxD district, and their implementation throughout the city.

“We want to assure the public that we have Conyers and its citizens’ best interests at heart when it comes to design, zoning, land use and development,” said Director of Planning and Inspections Marvin Flanigan. “This public information meeting is designed to answer the public’s questions about how this particular zoning district and potential development impact the community in the short-term and the long-term.”
