Christmas Hope for the Holidays deadline on Dec. 18

It's not too late to make a child's holiday truly special. "Christmas Hope for the Holidays" is still collecting toys up until Dec. 18 for children from around the county in need of a Christmas gift.

"Christmas Hope for the Holidays" is a community collaborative outreach offering hope to families in need in Rockdale County through the distribution of free toys and gifts. The goal is to provide assistance to 500-600 families who are facing difficult challenges during these days of financial crisis.

Through the distribution of toys and other gifts, our ultimate goal is to inspire hope in the hearts of those who are hurting.

The toys and gifts will be collected and distributed at the Rockdale County facility at 1400 Parker Road in Conyers. Distribution will run from Dec. 19 to Dec. 21.

The event is particularly looking for donations of the following items:

Financial donations
New toys
New clothes
Gift cards for older teens
