For those looking for an exotic getaway this fall, members and guests of the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce can escape to either China or Tuscany. Both are nine-day journeys, with the trip to China running from October 14-22 and the trip to Tuscany from November 7-15.
Last year the trips had around 75 people attending. This year at around 50 this year, they’re expecting the same big group.
The trip to China will offer an opportunity to the business community of the county to experience old customs and history. Cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou will be on the itinerary, with visits to famous landmarks such as the Great Wall.
The trip to Tuscany will provide an experience of Italy like never before, traveling to cities such as Montecatini, Florence, Lucca, Pisa, Siena, San Gimigano, Cinque Terre, and Chianti. This trip will allow access to the beautiful sights of Italy, and some of the greatest food admired worldwide.
Both trips include round-trip international airfare, in-country transportation, and English-speaking tour guides that are very helpful in these non-English-speaking cities. First Class accommodations are also provided with each trip. Those staying in China will get three meals per day, and travelers to Tuscany will be provided with breakfast and dinner. Administrator of the Chamber of Commerce, Mitzi Quarles, says, “It’s the trip of a lifetime. It’s not a trip you can book on your own at this low of a cost, and we don’t know how many more years we can offer this trip for this low price. We make sure you’re really taken care of over there.”
China’s expenses per person are $2,199 with a non-refundable registration fee of $200 per person. The deadline is July 2, with full payment due by July 16. Tuscany’s expenses are $2,695 per person, with a $500 deposit, in which $325 is non-refundable. Registration deadline is July 20, and full payment due August 7.
