The streets of Olde Town Conyers, including the side of the building housing Sadie’s Antiques and Uniques, were transformed for the shooting of a pilot prequel to the popular “Vampire Diaries” series. The streets were blocked off over night Thursday night, 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. Stunt persons were reported rehearsing a fall from the roof of Sadie’s earlier in the week.
Rockdale-Conyers has previously been the site of scenes in The Vampire Diaries. On Monday, center street was blocked off in preparation.
Films such as "Identity Thief," "American Reunion," "Fast Five," the pilot for the Kevin Bacon thriller television show "The Following," and MTV's "Teen Wolf" have also filmed in Rockdale-Conyers.
The movie "Prisoners," starring Hugh Jackman, began shooting in Rockdale in January and is slated to wrap in March.
