An early-morning standoff ended peacefully with the arrests of three suspects caught by Rockdale County Sheriff's Office deputies during a burglary in progress.
Andre Tyrone Wells, 18, of Lithonia, and Tariq Riddle, 17, of Lithonia were charged with burglary and criminal damage to property. Riddle was also charged with giving a false name.
Rodeiciace Frazier, Jr., 21, of Riverdale, the alleged get-away driver found in a vehicle around the corner, was charged with being party to a crime of burglary.
Around 1:30 a.m. during a routine check, deputies noticed a ladder leaning on the side of the wall at Lithonia Pawn, according to Investigator Michael Camp.
"They walked around the building, keeping an eye on the ladder and roof, when they saw a head pop up from the rooftop. At that point, they called for more deputies and we surrounded the building," wrote Camp.
The suspects remained in the building until about 3 a.m., when they surrendered without resistance and were taken out of the attic and booked into the Rockdale County jail.
It was later discovered they had put a hole in the roof to climb into the pawn shop.
