Firefighters were called to a structure fire shortly before 3:30 a.m. today at the not-yet-opened Conyers Fish Market, located in the former Longhorn's Steakhouse location off of Iris Drive, according to Deputy Fire Chief Mike Lee.

Fire Marshall Phil Norton said the fire did start about the time while lightining storms were in the area but the cause of the fire had not been pinned down. "We haven’t been able to determine that yet," said Norton.

Rockdale County firefighters also responded to another fire at a detatched garage that burned down completely at a home in the Smoke Rise East subdivision, off of Pleasant Hill Road. The homeowners were reportedly not at home at the time and the call was made the day after the fire. Norton said the fire might have started "about when lightning storms hit Saturday night. Don’t know if that was it."
