Two good Samaritans and a Kohl's employee were assaulted and bitten after attempting to stop a Conyers man from shoplifting last week.

Abdul Samed Iddrisu, 32, was arrested for allegedly attempting to steal pants, shirts and flip-flops from the Kohl's department store on Dogwood Drive around 2 p.m. on Oct. 17.

According to the police report, a Kohl's loss prevention officer confronted Iddrisu outside of the store and a physical altercation ensued. Two bystanders attempted to assist the officer and all three were allegedly bitten on their arms and hands by the combative suspect.

Iddrisu was arrested and charged with two counts of battery, one count of simple battery, obstruction of law enforcement and shoplifting. He had allegedly hidden the stolen two pairs of jeans and two long-sleeved shirts under his own clothing.

The bystanders and officer were treated for bleeding on the scene by emergency medical personnel.
