Mrs. Bertye (Robbie) R. Brown, formerly of Decatur, died Saturday, July 23, 2011, at the age of 80. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, H.P. (Dusty) and Lillis Brown, Doug and Nancy Brown, and Sharon and Rick Coltey. Ms. Brown had six grandchildren, H.P. Brown, III, Nathan Brown, Matthew Brown, Christopher Brown, Amy Brown, Jena Greene and four great-grandchildren. Robbie is also survived by her twin sister, Betty Henson; sister, Vernita Jackson and brother, Billy Roberts. Mrs. Brown was a member of Floyd Road Baptist Church in Austell, GA and retired from Carolina Freight Lines. She served in the United States Women's Army Corps (WAC) during WWII. Robbie loved gardening, country music and followed the Country Music Circuit for many years. She was a dedicated mother and family was her love. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Pastor Burman Cape, Jr. officiating; interment will follow at Hillandale Memorial Gardens, Lithonia. Family will receive friends Monday, July 25, 2011 from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
