An Atlanta man has been arrested for robbing a Conyers resident at allegedly gunpoint.

Keldrin Perry, 30, was taken into custody by the Conyers Police Department (CPD) for allegedly stealing $30 from the 45-year-old female victim Wednesday night.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of Burlington, located at 1485 Ga. Highway 138, Conyers, shortly after the victim left the store around 9:20 p.m. She told CPD Officer Marshall Thompson the suspect "walked up to her as if something were wrong, then told her to give her purse."

"She advised he had his hand under his shirt and appeared to brandish a gun," wrote Thompson in his police report. "She told me she never saw a gun."

Despite not seeing a weapon, the victim pulled "about ($30)" out of her purse and gave it to the suspect.

"He told her he wanted the purse again and he tried to snatch it," wrote Thompson. "She advised she told him no and pulled away."

The suspect then left the area.

CPD found a Perry, who matched the description given to them by the victim, staying at the Horizons Extended Stay, 1385 Old McDonough Road, Conyers. According to the report, Perry allegedly told untruthful statements to CPD and was arrested for making false statements.

Currently, Perry is in the Rockdale County Jail.
