A suspect tied to the armed robbery of a couple using an ATM in February has been arrested.

On Sunday, February 24, 2013, two customers were robbed at gunpoint while using the ATM located at Wells Fargo, 1280 Dogwood Drive, Conyers around 6:45 p.m.

The suspects arrived in a blue, Subaru Tribeca that was later determined to have been stolen from Morgan County earlier in the same evening.

Morgan County Sheriff’s Office was able to develop Quwan Kendrick as a suspect in the theft of the Subaru and in a more recent theft of a motor vehicle from their area. Through assistance from Morgan County SO, Atlanta Police Department, and Georgia Pardons and Paroles, Conyers Police personnel were able to identify Quwan Kendrick as a suspect in the ATM armed robbery, and two counts of armed robbery (one for each victim) and two counts of Aggravated Assault (one for each victim) were obtained. Kendrick was arrested without incident on Thursday, April 25, while reporting to his parole officer. At the time of Kendrick’s arrest he arrived at the parole office in an unrelated stolen vehicle and inside that vehicle was a stolen handgun.

Additional investigation led to a search warrant being obtained for his residence, and stolen property being recovered there on unrelated cases from Atlanta PD. Conyers Police and Morgan County SO are still working to locate more stolen property and return the items to their rightful owners.
