Another arrest made connected to body in kudzu patch

Another suspect was arrested in connection with the killing of a Conyers man whose body was found in a kudzu patch on Tuesday.

Derrick Brown was reportedly got into an altercation that took place at his Pine Villa Court house with Sylvester Leon Henderson on Tuesday and was killed. His body was later found in Lawrenceville in a kudzu patch.Delete - Merge Up

Amanda Gayle Little, 27, of Oxford was charged today with two counts of murder, one count of concealing the death of another, and obstruction of law enforcement officers.

Henderson, 36, turned himself in to Georgia Regional Hospital around 4 p.m. Wednesday. He was wanted in connection with the death of Derrick Brown, a resident of 1419 Pine Villa Court.

With the assistance of the DeKalb County Police Department and the Rockdale County Sheriff's Office, Conyers Police Department took Henderson into custody and charged him with the murder of Derrick Brown. Henderson was booked into the Rockdale County jail.

Brown's body was found in a kudzu patch Tuesday in Lawrenceville. 

Police received a call about a fight at 1419 Villa Pines Court, in the Forest Villa subdivision on Irwin Bridge Road, shortly after midnight Tuesday, Oct. 19. When officers arrived they found signs of an assault but did not find the resident.

A released statement described that "witnesses reported seeing someone loaded into the back seat of a car and the car fled the scene prior to officers arrival."

Investigators found an aquaintence of 1419 Villa Pines Court who led them to the body of Derrick Brown in a kudzu patch in Lawrenceville.
