AMC show filming Friday in Olde Town

A few street lanes in Olde Town Conyers will be closed at times Friday as AMC films scenes for its show "Halt and Catch Fire" at local homes and on local roads.

The south lane of N. Main Street, between College Ave. and 1080 N. Main Street, will be closed Friday 10 a.m. to Saturday, 1 a.m. , as the location is prepared for filming.

Filming will take place on College Street, at the intersection of N. Main Street and North Street, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Driving scenes will also be filmed at Bonds Lake Road, between Irwin Bridge Road and 2610 Bonds Lake Road NW from 3 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Back in Olde Town, driving scenes will be filmed on the northwestbound lane of Green Street, from West Avenue to Blacklawn Road, from 6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.

The schedules are subject to change.

The show is set in the early 1980s and centers around the personal computing boom and rise of Silicon Valley as it challenged the corporate giants of the day.
