The local chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, the Chi Tau Omega chapter, is offering scholarships for high school seniors planning to further their education. 

To be eligible, candidates must be a graduating senior at any Rockdale or Newton County public school and will be attending an accredited 4-year college or university during the 2012-2013 school year.
