Created in 2001 primarily as a wedding planning company, Spunky Functions' range of services has evolved to include planning corporate and marketing events, including holiday parties, employee appreciation events and product launches.
"We offer our clients personalized attention. Our clients always feel like they are our only client," Mitchell said.

Mitchell said when she gets a call for her service, she sits down with her clients to get an understanding of their needs and comes up with personalized concepts and designs to fit their budget.

"Picking up the phone and giving us a call is the extent of your work," said Mitchell. "We do everything else to ensure your event is a success."

In addition to planning events for their clients, Spunky Functions is also putting the finishing touches on its first signature event. Partypoolza, a party planning festival, is set for Saturday, May 31, 11a.m. - 7 p.m. in Olde Town Conyers. The event, which is open to the public, features vendors from the party industry, live entertainment, activities for the children, and a man's corner.

"People can come out and have a great time with their family," Mitchell said. "Whether you're planning an event or not, in this economy, everyone needs a break."
