A standing ovation for the Conyers School Ballet

The audience rose to its feet Tuesday evening for another wonderful performance by the Conyers School of Ballet. Salem High School graciously provided the venue for the sold out recital. The crowd was honored to see the talent of many of our finest as they presented "New York, New York." Among the dancers were four students who have been accepted into prestigious summer programs: Bradie Harper, American Ballet Theater in Alabama; Mary Anna Roden, Joffrey School in Georgia and ABT in Texas; Leilani Kistler-Bolshoy Academy in New York State; and Julia DeFoor, Joffrey School in New York and the Kirov Academy in Washington.

Upcoming events include Dance Camp on July 6 for students ages 4 - 6. No experience is required. Students who have had at least 3 years of dance may be interested in attending Dance Days of Summer. The program will be offered during the weeks of July 13 and 20. Anyone interested may contact Judy Mauran at 770-483-5280.
