Light sprinkles and cloudy skies couldn't dampen the spirits of parade watchers and participants in the Hometown Holidays parade and tree lighting on Saturday afternoon and evening.

Floats and entries ranged from simple groups of marchers with a banner to painted and constructed creations. Watchers were treated with showers of candy from parade entries.

After the parade, attendees watched performances from school and community groups and county and city officials, and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus, helped light the courthouse tree.
