A jubilant time

I have never attended the Newborn Dixie Jubilee, but just the thought of it transports me back to old-school Covington, where people played music on porches and televisions were just some high-fangled contraption that rich folks had, like shoes. When the square was covered in dirt and there wasn’t any Square Perk there to make my coffees. But I am a huge fan of music – any kind, really – and the Newborn Dixie Jubilee has been going strong for far too long to be anything short of magnificent, plus Johnny  Roquemore and the Apostles of Bluegrass are scheduled to perform, and if you haven’t heard them – or seen Johnny’s amazing beard – Google it. You can thank me with presents.
