Covington First United Methodist Church is now offering a third, more casual church service on Sunday afternoons, called REVIVE @ 5, “Breathing new life into worship.”

The service will premiere Feb. 17th. Lasting from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m., the service is designed for those who want a more casual service or those who work on Sunday or find Sunday morning to be the best day to spend time with the family or recuperate from a busy six-day work week. The service will be held at Wesley Chapel, the brick chapel next to the main sanctuary, located at 2160 Church St., Covington.

Prior to the service, coffee will be served in the hospitality room and churchgoers will have a chance to converse with friends and staff. Amazing praise music each week will be led by Covington First Adult Praise Band “In His Name” and “Alpha” Youth Praise Band. After worship, there will be opportunities for fellowship and small group study. A nursery will be provided for children ages birth-4 years of age.

Covington First UMC also has two traditional services at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday mornings, with Sunday School for all ages at 10 a.m., children’s church and nursery.

The church offers weekly opportunities of choirs for all ages, praise bands, local, regional and foreign missions, Bible studies, children and youth programs, adult ministry and fellowship.
