Wrapped around today's edition is a four-page pullout dedicated to the thousands of veterans who call Newton County home.

This special salute was supposed to run Sunday, the day officially set aside to honor our heroes; however, because of an error at the printing press, it did not run.

First, we offer our apologies to anyone who wondered at a lack of Veterans Day coverage.

Second, we proudly run it today in honor of the men and women and their families who dedicated a portion of their lives in defense of our beliefs and homeland.
