You've likely noticed while driving around Covington that there seems to be more signs displayed along the roads, promoting everything from tire repairs to yard sales. The city government recently held first reading on tightening its sign ordinance.

The council's actions are a step in the right direction.

We believe it should be even tighter.

Once the ordinance passes, it needs to be strictly enforced in order for it to work.
